The first item on this list has to be the Wedding Tower on the Mathildenhöhe, where national and international exhibitions regularly take place. Other interesting places to visit are the Hessische Landesmuseum, Darmstadt’s State Theatre, the Kunsthalle or another of Darmstadt’s many galleries.

A further highlight is the Central Station, opened in 1999 and protected as a historic monument. Here, you can enjoy a varied cultural programme of theatre, readings and concerts.

We also recommend a visit to the Residential Palace, the City Hall, the ‘Lange Ludwig’ monument and the Composers’ Quarter with its many Wilhelminian villas.
