Fun for the whole family

Darmstadt has a range of activities to suit the whole family – for instance, the Vivarium Zoo, where you can see animals from all over the world.

In the summer you can take a swim not only in one of two urban bathing lakes, but also in the historic art nouveau pool, which is open year-round for swimming and wellbeing.

Nature lovers will enjoy a gentle stroll in the botanic gardens of the Technical University, or a pleasant boat ride on the lake at Steinbrücker Teich in the Oberwaldhaus leisure park. Afterwards, the nearby woodlands provide lovely walking trails.
