Shopping trip

Darmstadt’s pedestrian zone is another area where you can enjoy the many treats our city has to offer. There is a huge variety of shops to choose from – little boutiques, department stores, bookshops and jewellery shops.

During the summer, you can take a break for some refreshment in an ice-cream parlour or a cosy café. You can get a bite to eat during your shopping trip or in the evening in one of Darmstadt’s many restaurants.

The vibrant city centre exudes a special, positively Mediterranean flair – particularly when the sun shines.
